Div I Ded was established in the end of 2013 by Filip Helštýn and in the fall of 2014 they released their debut album "Born To Sleep" that made them a sunlight of forgotten or undiscovered Czech shoegaze and dream pop. "Born To Sleep" received positive reaction of criticism and listeners all over the world and brought to the band a nomination for the Vinyla Music Awards in category “Discovery of the year”. Multiinstrumentalist Filip Helštýn and female singer Viktorie Marksová, which are accompanied at gigs by Jakub Zháňal on drums and Ondra Mikula on bass guitar, samples and projection, have the roots in Frýdek-Místek and Ustí nad Labem in Czech Republic.

Had this powerful concert been issued somewhat more concurrent to its performance, the appreciation of Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band as an active recording and touring unit might have been radically altered. As it stands, the mid- to late ‘70s were not kind to Beefheart (aka Don Van Vliet) who became mired in litigation and ultimately forced to surrender the master tapes to a project titled Bat Chain Puller recorded at Frank Zappa's Utility Research Muffin Kitchen studios. After reassembling a new version of the Magic Band, Beefheart emerged with his compromise to the preceding project – now re-titled Shiny Beast (Bat Chain Puller). In support, the Magic Band were booked into small clubs throughout the States.

Groovy little funky band from Milwaukee, with a brassy sound that's a bit like the T.S.U. Tornadoes, but with more vocals. The title cut's a nice goofy track that starts with some guy havin' a fight with his old lady about being in a band, and there's a lot of other nice groovers with this sort of uptempo, upbeat funky style. Other cuts include 'Cash Money', 'I Am A Lonely Man', and 'Cool Days Are Out Of Style'.
