2018 release. Johan Kihlberg's Impera Age Of Discovery features a wide range of musical influences while remaining a very strong, melodic and powerful album. It boasts great production work by Chriss and a stunning artwork by Carl-André Beckston. After three albums with his band Impera, founding drummer Johan Kihlberg decided it was time to spread his wings, and the Swede came up with the idea to record his first solo effort, Johan Kihlberg's Impera Age Of Discovery.

2018's Prequelle was a divisive record for Ghost, to say the least. While still wielding their tried-and-true brand of gothic arena rock/doom metal (as if they're hellbent on taking over for Goblin when it comes to scoring 1970s-esque Giallo films), many fans and publications—including us—felt that it was a bit too safe, cheesy, poppy, and self-indulgent.

Ghost return with their fifth psalm, Impera, fronted by the newly anointed Papa Emeritus IV. A dozen songs take on themes of isolation and demigod worship, as well as colonization of both space and mind. And all with the infectious hooky brand of rock their fans have grown accustomed. The new leader Papa IV, has stirred yet is not shaken. Building himself up to lead Ghost to further global domination. In his way are not only the vestiges of a global plague but his confidence as the person to deliver on the promise and messages of these songs.

Today we can put these prejudices aside and enjoy this masterful creation for what it is: a hugely entertaining parade of beautiful and spectacular musical ‘hits’ set to a familiar story of secret love, dramatic crisis and triumphant resolution. This 2017 Bad Wildbad revival was summed up as ‘an evening of pure bel canto pleasure!’ by Operagazet.

Era is the eponymous debut album by Eric Lévi's new-age project Era, first released in 1996 and re-released in 1998. Era mixes Gregorian chants and occasionally world music with contemporary electronic arrangements. It is reminiscent of new-age music projects such as Enigma, Gregorian, and Deep Forest. Lyrics are written in Pseudo-Latin and English, and some are based on beliefs of the 13th century French Christian Catholic Apostolic Roman, the Cathars. The band has sold more than 12 million albums. They are best known for their singles "Ameno" and "Madona". Era's live shows and music videos often feature artists dressed in medieval or traditional clothes and armour. Usually, actors Pierre Bouisierie and Irene Bustamante perform at Era shows.
