Guy Clark didn't just write songs, he crafted them, with the kind of hands-on care and respect that a master carpenter (a favorite image of his) would when faced with a stack of rare hardwood. Clark worked slowly and with strict attention to detail – he released only 13 studio albums in his 40-year career – but he produced an impressive collection of timeless gems, leaving very little waste behind. His albums never met much commercial success, but the emotional level of his work consistently transcended sales figures and musical genres.

MovieScore Media will release Guy Farley's score for Russian romantic drama SILVER SKATES on December 18th. CD edition is also in the works. A dream has come true: François-Frédéric Guy has recorded music by Chopin for the first time, recalling the colors and scents of his childhood. The instrument, built by Pleyel in 1905 and restored by Pianos Balleron, produces an enchanting splendor of tone color in the magnificent acoustics of the Arsenal in Metz and under the expert hands of the pianist. Guy also bows to the master pianists of the early 20th century with this recording.

Let’s travel back to October 30, 1970: A week before his 29th birthday, Guy Clark is performing on the University of Houston campus. Back in his home state after a short stint in California, Clark is still a couple years away from moving to Nashville, where his career as a songwriter would flourish.
