Back in the early 1950's Jack Kirby moved from Timely Comics (the forerunner of Marvel) to DC. There, before he became one of the greatest comic book creators ever, known for hsi dynamic visual style and for creating new characters and establishing new trends in comic books, he was just getting by illustrating and at the rate of around twenty pages per month. That total included the eleven Green Arrow stories he drew, all of which are included in this trade paperback, and all inked by his dear spouse Rosalind "Roz" (Jack Kirby hated inking) Kirby. is a six-issue limited series collecting the backup stories of the title character as they originally appeared in the 1960's Marvel title . I grew up on Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and I still have some of these old comics, the covers and pages crisscrossed with folds and creases, for we them during those days, unlike now when comic books are encased in acetate and valued not for their content but for whatever price they might bring on eBay. Imho nobody can, or shall ever beat, the tandem of Lee and Kirby in portraying the original Marvel Superheroes in action. Highly recommended.
