On Last Man Dancing, Jake Shears turns his lifelong love affair with club culture into his most ambitious pop music to date. The album was brought to vivid life by Jake Shears and a close crew of collaborators, including head-turning features from Kylie Minogue, Jane Fonda, Iggy Pop, Amber Martin, and a pre-Renaissance turn from the iconic Big Freedia.

Since his early days as an emerging artist in the mid-aughts, Jake Owen has found a niche in making breezy, carefree music imbued with a spirit of openness and positivity. Like fellow laidback and vibey country acts Kenny Chesney and Little Big Town, Owen loves a song nodding to the great outdoors, particularly if there’s a body of water involved. On his seventh studio outing, Owen mixes such tracks—the playfully titled “On the Boat Again” and the sunburned ballad “Somewhere South with Rum,” among others—with classic party tunes (“Hot Truck Beer”) and breakup numbers (“Solo Solo”). He isn’t so much changing up the formula that’s kept him relevant in the genre for nearly two decades as letting it grow bigger and more mature alongside him.

Drummer, composer and producer Jake Long announces the release of his debut solo album City Swamp via New Soil on 17th May. Conceived as a soundtrack to a film that doesn't exist, City Swamp is a dystopian suite of meticulously reconstructed jazz improvisations from some of the UK's finest instrumentalists. Drawing on the hypnotic groove of electric-era Miles Davis, the album announces the Maisha founder as an artist in his own right, breaking new ground on what is a heady and conceptually adventurous debut.

‘Saturday Night, Sunday Morning’ marks a bold and exciting new chapter for Jake Bugg. His 5th studio album is filled with catchy guitar hooks, rhythmic base lines & anthemic choruses giving the record a huge euphoric feel. Cleverly set against more introspective songs with beautifully crafted lyrics, the album plays with a spectrum of emotions that we can all relate to. Jake says it was “the most fun he’s ever had making a record”. The album, released on 20th Aug, features singles ‘Kiss Like the Sun’ and gospel-infused anthem ‘All I Need’.

This album was recorded live at the 2019 Brooklyn Folk Festival, located at St. Ann's Church in Brooklyn, NY. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Don Fierro.

Pristine Peaks uses a novel approach to dynamics control that produces a very "clean" sound that does not break up or distort even at high gain reduction amounts. Instead of saturating or clipping waveform peaks, Pristine Peaks determines what needs to be done to control the peaks and applies that gain change to the entire waveform. This results in extremely low THD that does not increase with gain reduction.
