Yves Jarvis is a clean slate, a recasting of Montreal-based musician Jean-Sebastian Audet. Audet previously created under the name Un Blonde, a name which he says was, at one point, all he wanted.

Yves Jarvis, returns with an expression of brazen songcraft and pure musicianship: 11 tracks he played himself, without a single additional contributor, transforming his acclaimed, three time Polaris Music Prize longlisted vision into the stuff of verses and choruses, hooks and hits, which vibrates like a cosmic anthropology.

Jarvis (also known as The Jarvis Cocker Record) is the debut solo album by Pulp vocalist and musician Jarvis Cocker, released in the UK on 13 November 2006. Initial critical response to Jarvis was very positive. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalised rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album has received an average score of 82, based on 30 reviews.

It all started when US film producer, screenwriter and director Wes Anderson asked Jarvis Cocker to record a new version of the song "Aline" for his new film "The French Dispatch" (2021). The 1965 French pop hit was originally sung and made famous by Christophe. The song appears in a pivotal scene in the film: The band "Tip-Top" appears on a poster in the café where the revolutionary youth of Paris gather, while the song plays on the jukebox.

Jarvis and Friends Volume 2 is the second release in a series of albums comprising collections of mostly improvised duos. Volume 2 includes bass trombone, electric guitar, multiple percussion, mallet percussion, drum set and vocals. As before, Peter Jarvis has teamed up with some of the finest musicians in the world, including David Taylor (bass trombone and vocals), Gene Pritsker (electric guitar), Kevin Norton (vibraphone and percussion) and Payton MacDonald (marimba.) Peter Jarvis is playing marimba, multiple percussion and drum set. The volume includes both improvisations and composed pieces. The artwork is by Mark Kostabi.
