An exceptionally graceful jazz and R&B vocalist with a five-octave range, Jean Carn scored her first major hit with "Valentine Love" (1975), a plush duet with Michael Henderson featured on Norman Connors' Saturday Night Special album. This prompted a solo career that included four charting albums with Philadelphia International and an assortment of R&B classics including "Free Love" (1976), "Don't Let It Go to Your Head" (1978), and "Was That All It Was" (1979).

Cathy Jean is an American Blues singer, songwriter and musician known for her powerful and soulful vocals. She has collaborated with many well-known local and national musicians. She has released several EPs and full-length albums, and has toured in North America and abroad. Jean has been nominated for three Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) awards. Cathy plays guitar, piano, violin and harmonica. Collection includes: Tear Me Apart (1996); I Want (1998); Marshall Road Apocalypse (2001); Little Sick Twist (2005); In The Remains (2010).

Born in 1875, Ravel was fêted during the 1920s and ’30s as France’s greatest living composer – a remarkable achievement considering the obstacles placed in his path by the ultra-conservative Parisian musical elite of his time.
