Point of View is the debut studio album by American jazz singer Cassandra Wilson, recorded in Brooklyn, New York, in December 1985, as the fourth release of the German JMT label in 1986. It was also one of the first albums of a group of musicians around Steve Coleman, that became known as M-Base.

Music is above all about communication and the music of Pipe Dream is a deeply human gathering, voices speaking together and alone, sometimes wistfully, sometimes with dancing energy. Built around trombone, cello and voice, with piano, vibraphone and drums completing the picture, Pipe Dream return with Blue Roads, a set of achingly beautiful, singing themes that combine elements of jazz, chamber music, folk forms and improvisation.

World Expansion was jazz saxophonist Steve Coleman's third release as leader, originally released on the JMT label in 1987 and reissued by Winter and Winter in 2002. Here Coleman is joined by Graham Haynes (trumpet), Robin Eubanks (trombone), Kelvyn Bell (guitar), Geri Allen (keyboards), Kevin Bruce Harris (electric bass), Mark Johnson (drums) and Cassandra Wilson and D.K. Dyson (vocals).

Mark Dresser has been composing and performing solo contrabass and ensemble music professionally since 1972 throughout North America, Europe and the Far East. He was commissioned by the Banliues Bleues Festival in Paris to premier Dresser's composition "Bosnia", later recorded on CD by the "Double Trio" as "Green Dolphy Street" on ENJA.
