One of the UK's greatest home-grown classical voices presents a selection of Christmas music - newly recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and completed despite the challenges of 2020's pandemic. Christmasland shows another side to Jonathan Antoine's artistry, as he interprets well known Christmas music as well as a brand new Christmas song, written by Diane Warren.

Après le succès du titre Pas besoin de toi (2009), Joyce Jonathan a largement confirmé tous les espoirs placés en elle avec son deuxième album, Caractère. Ce disque sorti en juin 2013 a tout d’abord séduit grâce au single Ça ira (plus de 30 semaines dans l’airplay radio, 3,6 millions de streams, 10 millions de vues du clip, 50 000 esingles vendus…), avant d’atteindre les 80 000 exemplaires écoulés et le statut de disque d’or. Entre-temps, d’autres extraits sont venus en renfort, comme la chanson-titre, ou encore l’émouvant Sans patience, retravaillé pour les ondes dans une version pop et vitaminée.

This project grew out of my encounter with Jean-Michel Pilc. I was lucky enough to work alongside this great musician during my four-year stay in Montreal.

With his agile technique, dramatic eloquence and rich palette of vocal colours, Jonathan Tetelman here inhabits a range of roles from the French and Italian repertoire. Recorded at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus with the Orquesta Filarm¢nica de Gran Canaria and its Chief Conductor, Karel Mark Chichon, this collection shows the strong and powerful voice of the tenor in a selection of popular and rather unknown arias.

Legendary singer-songwriter Jonathan Butler traveled back to his home country of South Africa to craft his most exciting and deeply personal album to date. Featuring producer/bassist Marcus Miller, Ubuntu is a reintroduction of Butler’s life story, going back 60 years to his upbringing in apartheid-era Capetown, which shaped his world view, prompted years of advocacy and instilled the ideology of ‘Oneness’ (Ubuntu). Featuring special guests Keb’ Mo’ and Stevie Wonder, the new album serves both as a rebirth of musical creativity and reconciliation with systemically biased history to forge a brighter future.

Indie-rock icon Jonathan Richman will release his 18th solo studio album, Only Frozen Sky Anyway, on July 4. The 12-track collection, which is being issued by the Blue Arrow Records label, will initially be available only digitally. CD and vinyl editions of the album will be released at a later date.
