Abbie Gardner displays an uncommon versatility on her striking new solo album Wishes on a Neon Sign, her first in nearly seven years and first on her own since taking temporary leave of her longstanding folk ensemble, collectively known as Red Molly. Spawned from time spent in a meditative mode, it’s a thoughtful attempt to reconcile the disparate threads of her present circumstance and to celebrate where life as led her. She calls it a love letter to New York, but there are no obvious paeans in the vein of, say, Frank Sinatra or Billy Joel. Rather, Gardner carefully expresses her sentiments, and the result is an album that’s both introspective and expressive, with the accessibility factor weighing in heavily on each of its entries.

The Neon God: Part 1 - The Rise, is the first of a two-part conceptual album by W.A.S.P. about an abused and orphaned boy named Jesse, who finds that he has the ability to read and manipulate people. The second album is titled The Neon God: Part 2 - The Demise.

Rund anderthalb Jahre nach Herzlos‘ fünftem Album „Zweifler und Gewinner“ läuft nun „Schwarz Weiß Neon“ vom Stapel. Dieses Mal überraschen Herzlos mit einem Albumtitel, der nur bescheiden wenig über den Inhalt und die möglichen Themen der neuen Songs aussagt. Die Band Herzlos sollte definitiv jedem, der eine gewisse Affinität für deutschsprachige Rockmusik hat, ein Begriff sein. Wer die Band aus dem Raum Kaiserslautern kennt, darf sich auf ein facettenreiches Deutschrockalbum freuen, das perfekt an den Vorgänger anknüpft und in jedem Fall eine weitere Spitze im Zyklus der Bandhistorie darstellt.

Pamela McNeill, "Neon Lightning." Lyrically and musically this new album by the Twin Cities singer is as breathtaking as the title suggests. Insightful, funny and thought-provoking lyrics coupled with masterful musicianship makes this a standout CD. McNeill's vocals and songwriting shine as bright as neon lightning.

Avant de passer sur la chaise électrique, Johnny Massina rapporte au lieutenant Dave Robicheaux les rumeurs qui courent sur lui dans le milieu : sa tête serait mise à prix par des Colombiens.
