On October 2nd 2006 Katie Melua performed a concert at the bottom of the North Sea. This 66 minute documentary film tells the story of that performance - from the conception of the dream by the gas platform manager, the planning, Katie and her band's rigorous safety training, the behind the scene logistics of moving 22 tonnes of equipment from land to the bottom of the rig - and concludes with some footage of the actual concert.

Following on from a number of years of unique and highly-acclaimed projects - Songs That Made Me, Love Song Circus, Songbook and Songs of the Southern Skies with Karin Schaupp - celebrated singer songwriter Katie Noonan is ready to share her new original material! Katie is thrilled to work with a band again, returning to her first love and harking back to the days of George after several solo, duo, ensemble and cross platform collaborations in recent years.

NJ born singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist Katie Henry has been running nonstop in support of her IBMA and Blues Blast nominated debut album 'High Road' and she is not slowing down.

Music often casts love as a game of absolutes: Heartbreak is the end of the world, and evil exes are obstacles to be overcome, rather than people to look directly in the eye. Life’s not really like that, though, and it’s rare that a songwriter truly tries to sift through the gray areas of quotidian romance in search of meaning.

Katie Gavin’s debut What A Relief taps into the unguarded self-possession and homespun pop sensibility of singers like Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple and Ani DiFranco, and uses their tenacity as a north star for Gavin’s own trek towards self-discovery. “This record spans a lot of my life – it’s about having a really deep desire for connection, but also encountering all the obstacles that stood in my way to be able to achieve that, patterns of isolation or even boredom with the real work of love” they say.

This sultry-voiced chanteuse wastes no time creating a smoldering, trance-like feel and setting the tone for what’s to come with “Empress”, the opening track to the record of the same name.

Throughout the majority of her time as vocalist and frontperson for D.C. art punk band Priests, Katie Alice Greer was also working on far more experimental solo material. When her solo tracks, one-off collaborations with other artists, or EP releases cropped up occasionally, they often took the form of harsh, overblown electronics or slow-moving noise, a wildly different approach than the relatively straightforward, guitar-heavy bombast of her main band. When Priests dissolved in late 2019, Greer relocated from D.C. to L.A. right at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on solo work that would expand on the experimental spirit that incubated on those earlier releases.
