When the British Blues Boom exploded in the late 60s it brought to fame such now legendary names as Eric Clapton, Peter Green and John Mayall. But there were many other fine musicians creating great music and establishing their own careers in bands and on record. One of the most important performers was Dave Kelly, a young, multi-talented London-born slide guitarist, singer, composer and bandleader. Dave first came to fame with the John Dummer Blues Band and went on play with Paul Jones and Tom McGuinness in the highly successful Blues Band, while leading a parallel life with his own outfit the Dave Kelly Band.

Last year, the Kelly Family released their Album "25 Years Later" with old and new Hits.Afterwards, the Band brought their Songs to the stage several times. Kathy, Patricia, Paul, Joey, John, Jimmy and Angelo played more than 40 concerts throughout Europe."25 Years Later – Live" there is now a new live album and a concert film with many Highlights.The recording was made at their gigantic Gig in early December 2019 in the sold-out Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin. Almost 20,000 Fans were there live.The career-spanning set of the Kellys lasted around three hours, with Hits and classics as well as completely new Songs. RCA will be releasing the official best-of album ‘The Essential R. Kelly‘ under the Jive label on May 19. The 35-song, double-disc set will feature his biggest hits including “Down Low,” “Bump & Grind,” “Ignition (Remix),” “When A Woman Loves,” “I Believe I Can Fly” and many more. Plus, it includes hard-to-find remixes, rare movie soundtrack cuts (several of them out of print), and career-defining collaborations.

Irish National Opera recently completed its tour of a pairing of operas by the exciting Irish composer Emma O’Halloran and librettist and playwright, Mark O’Halloran. Both works contain intimate psychological portraits of characters who find themselves in emotionally difficult situations. The first, entitled “Mary Motorhead,” focuses on a young woman jailed for the murder of her boyfriend, while the second, called “Trade,” is based on the awkward relationship between two men, one middle-aged, the other only 18-years-old, who meet for sex in a hotel room.

Angelo Kelly & Family have touched people with their music for ten years and have achieved incredible things together. As parents, Kira and Angelo knew right from the start that the family bond would not always exist like this, since the children also grow up and have to go their own way in life. At the end of the "Irish Summer" tour 2022, the family decided to close the chapter "Angelo Kelly & Family" with this tour. So the last concerts were very emotional for everyone, but also something very special. Fortunately, the concert in Bochum on September 3rd, 2022 was recorded with a great video, light and sound production and thus the last show of this special family could be recorded forever.
