Trumpet-organ-guitar-drums quartets are not too common, but after hearing this excellent CD, one wonders why. Kevin Dean is a superior hard bop trumpeter with an appealing sound and a melodic and swinging style. Organist Hank Marr has built his approach out of that of Jimmy Smith, guitarist Greg Clayton is excellent whether soloing or playing rhythm, and drummer Jim Rupp is solid in support. The musicians groove together quite well on a variety of standards.The result is an infectious and swinging set. ~ Scott Yanow

After attending a friend's wedding in Texas, USA, the band stayed at a ranch for a week to write songs. Mumford, the band's usual songwriter left a day early, and by the time the band met up again in London, Dwane, Lovett and Marshall had written the song "Believe". The main release of the single "Habibi" has the vocal collaborations of the Jamaican-born American reggae singer and deejay Shaggy, as well as co-writers and performers the Australian-Lebanese Faydee and Romanian Costi. Markos Papadatos of Digital Journal gave the song four stars out of five, calling it "an uplifting and infectious country single."

The Change is the debut solo album from singer/songwriter and longtime Uncle Lucius frontman Kevin Galloway. It's a love letter, and a promise to my newly formed family, says Galloway. My wife and I have two children under the age of 3 now. After touring almost incessantly with a band for over a decade, I've decided to take a different approach. This album is a sincere reflection of my mindset while reorganizing priorities. As for the sound, Galloway and producer Vorpahl call it Gulf Coast Country Soul. Of the band, Kevin comments, We put together some great players and they really found something special. It's organic and undeniably in the pocket.
