Everything I Love features Kevin Fort's fresh arrangements of several jazz classics alongside five original compositions. Inspired by the great bebop pianists of the past and present—such as Bill Evans, Red Garland, Bill Charlap, and Benny Green—the album offers a joyful exploration of the swinging, straight- ahead side of the piano trio tradition.

The gifted American guitarist draws out the fine lines between contemporary East and West Coast jazz with two equally emotive bands. The East Coast ensemble, featuring Nicholas Payton on trumpet and the energetic fizz of Jeff "Tain" Watts drumming, presents five Eubanks compositions ranging from the potent to the elegiac. The West Coast group, featuring saxophonist Bill Pierce as lead and Mino Cinelu on percussion, delivers five expertly reshaped covers spanning Ellington and Marvin Gaye. The East is funkier, the West more Latinate, and the playing exceptional throughout.

The English cellist, Michael Kevin Jones, studied Music Performance Piano/Cello at Royal College of Music in London. While a student there he was chosen to play for the Royal family and awarded a German government scholarship for further study in Köln. He continued his studies at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, Germany (from 1987). He studied with Pauline Ballard, Dulce Haigh Marshall, Michael Evans, Joan Dickson, Johannes Goritzki.Michael Kevin Jones has found a unique place for himself among today's performers. After his studies he quickly became solo cellist and toured the world with top musical groups. He has developed a non conventional career incorporating multi-musical activities and he is also an avid teacher and coach.

This live recording was made at the famous St Donat’s Castle in Wales during a recital by Michael Kevin Jones, cellist and pianist Sally Tarlton. From this concert we chose for this HD Remastered production, Giovanni Battista Sammartini’s famous cello Sonata in G major.

It isn't just that the four credited lead players are together, it's also that Robert Wyatt and (if one is excited by such a thing) Mike Oldfield are helping out as well. The whole result should have been a mind-blowing example of one moment of twisted brilliance after another, captured for the ages. And is it? Well, close enough. The week's rehearsal mentioned in the liner notes seems to have gotten everyone more or less on the same wavelength for the chosen songs, but Ayers, who was the headliner, just sounded too laid-back in the end to match the chilling brilliance of his guests, even with old Soft Machine mate Wyatt along for the ride.
