The first ever Witchblade Annual, featured a story by Jay Faerber, is a fun read and focused on letting Sara Pezzini get back to being the Witchblade that fans knew: tough, morally directed, and quick to act. After #129 in October 1995, the title was renamed and started again at #1. After four issues of Web of Scarlet Spider, the series was cancelled to make way for the new title. In October 14, 2009, Web of Spider-Man relaunched with issue one having a Kaine centered story written by J.M. DeMatteis, as well as a Spider-Girl story by Tom DeFalco with art by Ron Frenz and still another bonus story. Issue #2 ties in with the new storyline "The Gauntlet" with the origin of Electro. And just like Issue #1, almost a giant issue what with the backup Spider-Girl story.

is an eponymous Western comic book antihero created by writer John Albano and artist Tony DeZuniga and published by DC Comics. The right side of his face horribly scarred, he was an officer for the Confederacy during the American Civil War, fought at Gettysburg and is normally shown wearing a tattered Confederate States Army jacket. Hex is surly and cynical, but bound by a personal code of honor to protect and avenge the innocent and is in many ways similar to Clint Eastwood's (2 similar ongoing titles from Dynamite Entertainment are also posted here in Avaxhome by yours truly, complete). Jonah Hex had his first self-titled series that began in 1977 and lasted for 92 issues and which came to be known as Jonah Hex Volume 1. Aside from this, he also had a sci-fi-based eighteen-issue limited series that had scant recognition in the US but gained critical success and acclaim in the UK and elsewhere, plus three other miniseries under DC's Vertigo imprint. The current ongoing series, Volume 2, started in November 2005.

Explorations on consciousness and identity, dark, heavy tones, a breakneck pace that never lets up and twists and turns at every corner give you , a thre-part miniseries by writer Nick Spenser and artist Ron Salas from Image Comics. It is what you'll probably get when you take a Philip Dick short story, immerse it in the trappings of the noir genre and set it to the pace of the movie . In fact this miniseries has more twists and turns than most books have in a 24 issue run. The typical formula for a three issue mini is as follows: first issue, introduce characters/situation; second issue create shocking situation/problem; and third issue, solve the problem. Every single issue of this mini introduced new shocking revelations up to the ending of the third issue. It will leave you dizzy with your head floating somewhere and wanting for more--which is what you'll get because sometime in the weeks to come they'll release Existence 3.0 and you'll be scratching your head wondering how the hell are they going to top this one.

Jean-Luc Sala, a writer who lives in Bordeaux, originally created the story for for a French audience through Soleil Productions in 2004. With art by Pierre-Mony Chan, Spin Angels told an action-filled story of a black-ops group of specialists and spies working for a Cardinal of the Catholic Church, although for French audiences, the comic was known as "Cross Fire." The comic was a huge success with French audiences, who were attracted to its unique combination of religion and action, carried along, perhaps, by another publication that could, in a way, also be summed up in like fashion--the huge international phenomenon Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, released the year before. As part of Marvel's ongoing relationship with Soleil, the company decided to publish the comic for American audiences as a four-part limited series (not three as previously solicited) with the tag, "Mature Content" and here we are. Well worth the download.
