Kostka Rubika

This is an international project of Marek Konarski and one of the best Danish drummers, Anders Mogensen. Marek Konarski - saxophonist, musician of the year 2015 Danish island Fyn, winner of many European competitions.

'Klawo' means 'neat' in Polish, and that's a very accurate way to describe their sound, which has developed brilliantly since their debut album. There has also been a change in numbers - they were a sextet at first and have now grown into a septet. The newest member, Jakub Krzanowski, has been responsible for increased drumming intensity since he joined the band. Speaking of the sound, the trumpet evokes the spirit of the Golden Years of Polish jazz and funk. All of this gives the band’s music an unusual flow and groove, best experienced while they unleash their talents on stage.

The Polish jazz syndrome is increasingly being attacked by projects of young musicians, for whom the synthesis of modern jazz is becoming a kind of antidote for building intricate ideas. The album "Colors" by Marek Jakubowski's quartet is a perfect example of a consistent, musical illusion, behind which is not only an excellent composer's skill, but also an excellent sound developed by talented instrumentalists. The saxophonist Marek Konarski plays with a neat improvisation building once melancholic associations, sometimes balancing on the border of strong, energetic improvisation.

Beim Blick durch das Mikroskop erschließt sich eine ungeahnte Welt - das faszinierende Reich des Allerkleinsten. Sandkörner werden zu glitzernden Kristallen, ein Brennesselhaar entpuppt sich als winzige Injektionsspritze, und der Fuß einer Stubenfliege erweist sich als ausgeklügeltes Haftorgan.
