The DUO ALTERNO, defined by Los Angeles Times “the high theatrics Duo with a strong personality”, by The Washington Post “the duo with a big voice and a fine sense of comedic timing”, by la Repubblica “the duo that gives voice (and piano) to the Italian century”, by the Globe and Mail “the inventive Duo” and by The Indu of Chennai “an electric experience”, was born in Torino (Italy). With its performances of over than 70 Italian living composers, the DUO is considered one of the most significant reference points in the vocal-piano repertorio of works by composers ranging from the early 20th century to today. Since its debut in Vancouver in 1997 it has kept concert and master-classes in over thirty countries.

The trailblazing duo of Kimberly Patterson and Patrick Sutton are champions of the budding cello & guitar genre of chamber music. The Patterson/Sutton Duo and composer Stephen Goss have worked together over many years and this album represents the fruits of their musical collaboration.

The Fedorova&Takser Piano Duo, known for their original transcriptions and creative media projects, was formed in 2010 by Daria Fedorova and Ilya Takser – Canadian musicians with Russian heritage and Ukrainian and Polish ancestry.

Performing the music of the great 18th century violinists with an accompaniment of cello solo reveals a new sound image. The fullness of sound of only two instruments of the same family is surprising, while the infinite colours and the uncommon pliability presented by this combination reveal unforgettable moments of music.

Established by pianists and Lamar University faculty members Sujung Cho and Jacob Clark, Duo Korusa is a versatile piano duo/duet team dedicated to the performance of lesser-known works of the 19th and 20th century, as well as new works of the 21st century.
