The second release from Kyoto Jazz Sextet. Their debut album "Mission" is a classic, released on the legendary Blue Note label it features seven songs selected from 1963 to 1966 to reflect of the sound of Blue Note whilst adding a contemporary essence. The album recordings were made 'organically'- the musical instruments were vintage, mastering and editing used analog methods, and although the band used sampling, looping, mash - up and improvisation it was all done by the musicians themselves without digital input.

Shuya Okino is a DJ, club owner, writer and producer as well as being a part of the Kyoto Jazz Massive. He is a vital figure in the Japanese club scene and has been for over three decades now. He is involved in a wide range of projects from Cosmic Village to Root Soul to Mondo Grosso but his work with brother Yoshihiro as Kyoto Jazz Massive might be his best. This new album is another standout fusion of synth, broken beat and nu-jazz styles.

Just One Kyoto Night is a 2015 Eric Clapton 2CD bootleg of a show recorded in Kyoto, Japan at the Kyoto Kaikan Daiichi Hall on 26 November, 1979. It is an excellent sounding audience recording. The cuddly bear that made this possible is Paddington.
