Documentary which highlights cockney duo Chas & Dave's rich, unsung pedigree in the music world and a career spanning 50 years, almost the entire history of UK pop. They played with everyone from Jerry Lee Lewis to Gene Vincent, toured with The Beatles, opened for Led Zeppelin at Knebworth - and yet are known mainly just for their cheery singalongs and novelty records about snooker and Spurs. The film also looks at the pair's place among the great musical commentators on London life - and in particular the influence of music hall on their songs and lyrics.

Last Orders

Last Orders (2001)
Jack Dodd was a London butcher who enjoyed a pint with his mates for over 50 years. When he died, he died as he lived, with a smile on his face watching a horse race on which he had bet, with borrowed money. But before he died he had a final request, 'Last Orders', that his ashes be scattered in the sea at Margate. The movie follows his mates, Ray, Lenny and Vic and his foster son Vince as they journey to the sea with the ashes. Along the way, the threads of their lives, their loves and their disappointments are woven together in their memories of Jack and his wife Amy

Love Is The Law (1968). In 1968 Graham Bond left the Britain after the collapse of the Graham Bond Organisation to record two legendary albums for mercury records in the us. Recorded in Los Angeles, Love Is The Law saw Bond play all instruments on the album (except drums) & featured material that featured jazz influences alongside emerging psychedelic & underground rock influences resulting in a truely unique and highly sought after work, laced with fine musicianship and mystical lyrics. Previously bootlegged on CD with poor quality sound, this Esoteric release of Love Is The Law has been re-mastered from the original master tapes and restores the original artwork with a new essay to make the definitive edition of this classic album…

Jaki made her singing debut at the school’s Christmas talent contest with Michael Jackson’s Ben and won with a clear victory. From then on, it was only a matter of time before she would sign her first record deal. The first band she joined was One Night Affair at the age of 17, followed by the SRO Band and then Ferrari. One day, Jaki recorded a session for a jazz funk group called Medium Wave Band and it is from this that she was spotted by talent scout, Brian Freshwater and signed with EMI in 1983. It took EMI to channel her image and style into the correct direction, to form the soul seductress she is today. Her single entitled "What’s the Name of Your Game?" gave Jaki her first TV appearance on the children’s TV programme Crackerjack. "Heaven Knows" became the title track of her debut album.
