FROM THE MIND OF LEGENDARY SCI-FI AUTHOR PHILIP K. DICK! Garson Poole had a pretty great life: good job, nice apartment, a sexy, flirtatious assistant. And then he wakes up in a hospital room...the doctors inform him that he's been in a car accident...and they can't treat him. Because he's a robot. Specifically, Garson is an Electric Ant, a human-like robot created and programmed to serve a specific function. But what is Garson's function? How will his friends and co-workers treat him, knowing that he's a machine, and not a person? And how much of his world is real, and how much of it is part of his programming? Written by Kabuki scribe David Mack and illustrated by Pascal Alixe (ETERNALS ANNUAL). Parental Advisory. --

is a comic book miniseries that is the result of a partnerwhip between Devil's Due Publishing and French comic house Humanoids, the original publisher. In it French screenwriter Fabien Nury, and American artists John Cassaday and Laura Martin, team up to bring audiences an elaborate tale set in the latter days of World War II about a young girl whose super power is the center of a secret experiment. I Am Legion presents an unconventional vampire tale about the Nazi’s race to control the powers of 10-year-old vamp called Ana, while Allied forces scramble to uncover how their own ranks have been infiltrated by Hitler’s elite. This series continues and completes the original series published by DC Comics as a graphic novel in 2004, in which John Cassaday won a 2005 Eisner Award for Best Penciller/Inker for his work on this title (, Aug 2004). Excellent all throughout.

Marvel begins , an event that they've branded as "Seven Years In The Making." It's hard to refute the claim as, Secret Invasion aside, Marvel has done a very fine job at knitting its entire line together into a cohesive and propelling forward narrative. This is no doubt helped by outstanding creative work done in titles like Thor, Iron Man and Captain America--where independent storylines are maintained yet somehow conforming to a coherent whole--from its new breed of talented and imaginative creative teams. For this title that officially starts the event, writer Brian Michael Bendis' tendency to become overbearing is more than counterbalanced by Olivier Coipel, Mark Morales and Laura Martin's tremendous work. While this issue may not be the biggest "Event" book around, it certainly is one of the best-looking. It also signals the start of a major shift in the Marvel Universe's status quo.
