Débutant dans Spirou en 1980, la série, jugée provocatrice, change de peau et devient Aventures en jaune, pour finalement disparaître, victime de la censure. L'album sort chez Temps Futurs, qui dépose son bilan. La série déménage chez Glénat et Bédéscope, pour être encore une fois stoppée dans son élan, malgré l'intérêt manifesté par un nombre croissant de fans. Jugeant que ça commence à bien faire, Yann, Conrad et les éditions Dargaud mettent fin à cette malédiction et nous donnent enfin la suite des Innommables. Une série parfaitement iconoclaste... et fière de l'être !

Armide was the last tragédie en musique to come from the collaboration of Lully and his librettist Quinault. The subject – the enchantress Armide's unhappy love for the knight Renaud – is drawn from Tasso's Gerusalemme liberata. 5 February 1686. The masses hastened to discover Lully's eleventh and last tragédie lyrique. And they were not mistaken: Armide, a genuine masterpiece, would be crowned with lasting success. Here, the classic tragédie lyrique achieved total fruition, on the literary and musical levels alike.

Following the success of 1999's thrilling Armide, Marc Minkowski and his excellent cast fully convey the power and drama of Gluck's masterpiece. They pull you into the story (based on a play by Euripides) through the emotional truth of their interpretation. The opening quiet strings create an air of mystery dispelled by a ferocious storm magnificently conveyed by these early-music specialists. Within a few phrases of Iphigénie's opening lament, Delunsch creates a believable, sympathetic character.

This new Erato recording of the complete, uncut score of Les Troyens is drawn from two concert performances that took place over the Easter weekend in April 2017 in the city of Strasbourg in eastern France. A magnificent cast of singers, predominantly Francophone, assembled under the baton of John Nelson, an acknowledged master of Berlioz’s music who has conducted Les Troyens more frequently than anyone else over a period of more than 40 years; he made his name with the piece when he led performances at New York’s Metropolitan Opera in 1974 and enjoyed great acclaim for a production at the Frankfurt Opera shortly before the Strasbourg concerts.
