Samsara Blues Experiment are a Berlin based band, founded in Summer 2007 by leadguitarist/singer Christian Peters. They went through several changes in the first period but are in constant line-up since September 2008 featuring Hans Eiselt (guitar), drummer Thomas Vedder and Richard Behrens (bass). As the band name implies three elemental aspects are to notice - the blues as the fundament where it all comes from, the inclusion of spiritual influences accompanied by Indian/raga music and the experimental approach to mix up varied elements in a convincing manner.
The band's songs are dominated by a playful dual guitar work as well as a passionate blend of heavy psych, stoner and space rock. This is provided with several nuances and transitions in between - quite retro styled, jamming, even sometimes worked out with a repetitive hypnotic touch in the tradition of krautrock.

2013 live release from the Blues Rock guitarist. George Thorogood is an American icon. In a career that stretches back to the mid-70's, he and his band The Destroyers have released 16 studio albums with worldwide sales in excess of 15 million. 2013 saw George & The Destroyers make their long-overdue debut at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival.
George Thorogood makes some interesting comments in the brief interview included on this Blu-ray as a supplement, where he muses about needing to experience the "buzz" of energy from the audience whenever he walks into a room, as that is (according to him, anyway) the sign that his relevance as an artist is still alive and kicking. While Thorogood has had a long and successful career, he hasn't experienced a Top 10 single since the early nineties…

Peter Bernstein has long been a unique voice in jazz music, and this album provides listeners a fresh, unfiltered view of his approach. Bernstein weaves beautiful melodic lines through rich harmonies and lush chord voicings. The rubato intros on many of the tunes artfully set the tone for a gracefully stated melody, leading way to some swinging improvisations where the time is thick and one can almost hear the rhythm section. In this solo setting, Bernstein's harmonic freedom and inventiveness is readily apparent both as he pays homage to Monk and Coltrane…
