Lola receives a phone call from her boyfriend Manny. He lost 100,000 DM in a subway train that belongs to a very bad guy. Lola has 20 min to raise this amount and meet Manny. Otherwise, he will rob a store to get the money. Three different alternatives may happen depending on some minor event along Lola's run.

Félix est propriétaire d'un manège d'autos-tamponneuses. Un jour, il est intrigué par une fille silencieuse, seule et triste. Elle s'appelle Lola et sans s'en rendre compte, Félix tombe amoureux d'elle. Il va essayer de la comprendre, tenter de l'aider, tout faire pour lui rendre le sourire qui lui va si bien. Mais elle semble liée à un mystérieux passé. Un passé que Félix va devoir affronter.

Felix works in a fairground, and his traveling lifestyle is lonely. Then he runs into Lola, a mysterious girl who is being stalked by her ex-lover. While Felix is soon besotted with this strange girl, the fairground community suspect she may be trouble.

"Whatever Lola Wants" is a drama film directed by Nabil Ayouch and starring Laura Ramsey, Carmen Lebbos, Assaad Bouab and Achmed Akkabi. The film premiered on 11 December 2007 at the Dubai International Film Festival and was scheduled to be released in France on 11 April 2008. In 2009, the film received theatrical distribution in the UAE. The film, about an American woman who goes to Egypt, takes its name from the song "Whatever Lola Wants" from the Broadway musical Damn Yankees which was made into a film of the same name in 1958.
