Lyn Stanley released her 6th album a collection of 17 songs–15 are well known covers of Julie London and Lyn adds two more songs she wished Julie had recorded. These include “It’s Impossible” and “Heard It Through The Grapevine.” This album includes state of the art engineering for exceptional audiophile quality, analog mixed and mastered by Allen Sides and Bernie Grundman. Musicians for this album are the best of the best and they also created the arrangements with Lyn. You’ll hear new approaches to old standards and popular songs in Julie’s performing days.

Herman’s Hermits were one of the most commercially successful artists of the beat era. In a recording career which began in 1964 and spanned seven hectic years, Herman’s Hermits registered more than 30 worldwide chart entries and were undisputed hitmakers with a string of singles and albums in the top-10 and Grammy awards starting in 1965. They were also part of that hit-making machine cultivated by Mickie Most, who was one of the major forces in the flood of acts coming from the UK in the mid-1960s. They forged a successful career up until 1968 when rapidly changing pop trends dictated their demise which would finally happen in 1970. Their numerous visits to the Paris and Playhouse Theatres in London during their iconic heyday produced a vast number of sessions for radio broadcast and reveal a more authentic side to one of British pop music’s most endearing acts. London Calling proudly presents, Herman’s Hermits, live in session 1964 to 1968. From the beginning, critics were divided as to which style of music Jethro Tull should be assigned to. Progressive rock or classic rock were the often tried trademarks. The first album was still very blues-oriented, but with the distinctive vocals and flute Ian Andersons, aspects of the later Tull style are already present. After the departure of the guitarist Mick Abrahams, who was very focused on the blues, the musical spectrum was significantly expanded. With his successor Martin Barre, Jethro Tull then played this gig in the opening act for Jimi Hendrix in Stockholm. Edem Ephraim and Dennis Fuller, both true Londoners from the east end, were christened The London Boys in 1986. Discovered whilst working as dancers in Hamburg, producer Ralf-René Maué instantly saw their potential for pop stardom.
The duo enjoyed several hits in Europe and Asia, but it was the single ‘Requiem’ that caught on internationally, thanks to Pete Waterman, who persuaded The London Boys U.K. label to release the record domestically.
