John A. Russo, an architect of the modern zombie genre and co-creator (with George A. Romero) of the original film, Mike Wolfer and series artist Dheeraj Verma have together crafted a lurid, graphic, intense and over-the-top iteration of zombie lore fashioned with plot elements of a military-sanctioned weapons program set during the Vietnam War. This series has it all: sex, blood, guts and gore. The special, with 7 different covers by different artists, introduces the story which is then continued by the six-issue series.
