The film is the story of a group of soldiers, who, in the course of their compulsory military service in 1967 and 1968, before and during the military dictatorship in Greece, are assigned to the then recently founded Armed Forces Television.
This TV station, founded for the civilian population, was run by the Cinematographic Unit of the army which until then had only produced propaganda films and newsreels and was responsible for entertaining the troops and other charity organizations with movie screenings. The personnel was composed mostly of soldiers, who already had experience in the film business in their civilian lives, as well as those who received their training in the army.
The story may be only 95% true, but that is simply because the true story is even more absurd…

Aldo Francia begins with a real history about a man, a father that have to burgle and is captured. He is convicted, but his family need to live. All this situation is in Valparaiso, and Francia shows this beautiful city with this sad situation: boys that need to survive. Hard like the reality but full of love to life. A. Francia shows how a bad justice punish not only the guilty but his children.
If one movie captures the soul of a city, this is the one. Dealing with the social problems, telling the story of three brothers, sometimes tender, sometimes raw, Aldo Francia made a masterpiece showing us a Chilean neorealism movie. The dark and natural cinematography goes very well with this feature. The bitter story of a family with a father in jail, a mother and three brothers fighting against poverty and an unfair society, who rejects them even between another rejected people. Francia makes this bitter story with no weeping scenes or political speeches: is very real, very beautiful and very shocking.
If you think Italian neo-realism is great this movie will be your favourite, it has all the Italian codes but a much harder reality. A great way to discover Latin America in the sixties. A great way to discover the real Valparaiso. It´s not beautiful but it is real just like life.

U.S. Air Force General Jack Ripper goes completely and utterly mad, and sends his bomber wing to destroy the U.S.S.R. He suspects that the communists are conspiring to pollute the "precious bodily fluids" of the American people. The U.S. president meets with his advisors, where the Soviet ambassador tells him that if the U.S.S.R. is hit by nuclear weapons, it will trigger a "Doomsday Machine" which will destroy all plant and animal life on Earth. Peter Sellers portrays the three men who might avert this tragedy: British Group Captain Lionel Mandrake, the only person with access to the demented Gen. Ripper; U.S. President Merkin Muffley, whose best attempts to divert disaster depend on placating a drunken Soviet Premier and the former Nazi genius Dr. Strangelove, who concludes that "such a device would not be a practical deterrent for reasons which at this moment must be all too obvious". Will the bombers be stopped in time, or will General Jack Ripper succeed in destroying the world?

Convencido de que los comunistas están contaminando a la nación americana, un general ordena, en un acceso de locura, un ataque aéreo nuclear por sorpresa sobre la Unión Soviética. Su ayudante, el capitán Mandrake trata de averiguar el código para detener el bombardeo. Para solucionar el problema, el presidente de EE. UU. se comunica con Moscú para convencer al dirigente soviético de que el ataque es un estúpido error. Mientras tanto, el asesor del presiente, un antiguo científico nazi, D. El Chavo del 8 fue una serie de televisión cómica mexicana creada por Roberto Gómez Bolaños, producida por Televisión Independiente de México (más tarde, Televisa)
El programa trata sobre las vivencias de un grupo de personas que habitan en una vecindad mexicana donde su protagonista, El Chavo, lleva a cabo travesuras junto con sus amigos que ocasionan malentendidos y discusiones entre los mismos vecinos, por lo general de tono cómico. El guion surgió de un sketch escrito por Gómez Bolaños en donde un niño pobre de 8 años discute con un vendedor de globos en un parque. Se le prestó una mayor importancia al desarrollo de los personajes, a los cuales se les asignó una personalidad distintiva. Desde un comienzo, su creador contempló que El Chavo estaría dirigido al público adulto, no al infantil, aún cuando se tratara de adultos interpretando a niños. El elenco principal estuvo integrado por Gómez Bolaños, Ramón Valdés, Carlos Villagrán, María Antonieta de las Nieves, Florinda Meza, Rubén Aguirre, Angelines Fernández y Édgar Vivar, que interpretaron a El Chavo, Don Ramón, Quico, la Chilindrina, Doña Florinda, el profesor Jirafales, Doña Clotilde y el señor Barriga, respectivamente. La dirección y producción de la serie recayeron en Enrique Segoviano y en Carmen Ochoa.
