After the death of his father, Ludivine Jarisse inherits the humble family farm. When he returns to town Roberte a childhood friend of hers who works in Paris as entertainer, shows the car and the clothes bought him his "protector", which also owes his job. Moreover, convinced that you will easily succeed in Paris and get rich. Once in the capital, Ludivine adopted the stage name "Divine".

Ismael (Louis Garrel, the Gallic version of the adorable young Hugh Grant), lives with Julie (Ludivine
