A soundtrack album will be released for the French comedy drama Madame. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matthieu Gonet (Santa & Cie). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 17, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon,where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Madame is directed by Amanda Sthers and stars Harvey Keitel, Toni Collette and Rossy de Palma. The movie follows a wealthy and well-connected American couple who move into a manor house in romantic Paris and prepare a luxurious dinner for their sophisticated international friends. The dramedy was released in Australia this summer and will be released in France on November 22. No word yet on a domestic release.

Influenced creatively by living in Lisbon, Portugal over the past several years, Madame X is a collection of 15 new songs that celebrate Madonna’s career-long affair with Latin music and culture as well as other global influences. Singing in Portuguese, Spanish and English, highlights on the album include “Medellín,” which was co-produced by Mirwais and captures the spirit of Maluma’s hometown, the anthemic song “I Rise,” the Jamaican dancehall vibes of “Future” featuring Quavo, and co-produced by Diplo, as well as the sonically innovative Mirwaisproduced “Dark Ballet.” Recorded over 18 months in Portugal, London, New York and Los Angeles, Madonna collaborated on Madame X with longtime producer Mirwais, as well as with producers Mike Dean and Diplo, among others.

Arto Lindsay is the least known romantic to ever pick up a guitar, in part because he has never learned to play it. His career is a fascinating and often rewarding study in contradictions. As half of Ambitious Lovers for much of the 1980s, Lindsay didn’t sing so much as talk delicately, examining the structure of a song like a prowler testing a window over Peter Scherer’s keyboard blasts over several albums.

Madama Butterfly is an opera in three acts (originally two) by Giacomo Puccini, with an Italian libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa. The opera is based in part on the short story "Madame Butterfly" (1898) by John Luther Long, which in turn was based partially on stories told to Long by his sister Jennie Correll and partially on the semi-autobiographical 1887 French novel Madame Chrysanthème by Pierre Loti. Long's version was dramatized by David Belasco as a one-act play, Madame Butterfly: A Tragedy of Japan, which, after premiering in New York in 1900, moved on to London, where Puccini saw it in the summer of that year.

Madonna is releasing a new album "Madame X" on June 14, 2019. Its Japanese limited edition exclusively features the high-fidelity SHM-CD format.
