When Apollo astronaut Gene Cernan stepped on the moon in December 1972, he left his footprints and his daughter's initials in the lunar dust. This film takes Cernan back to the launchpads of Cape Kennedy to tell his story of burning ambition, fulfilment, love and loss. Using a wealth of rare archive, home movies, scrapbooks and interviews, it recounts how Cernan's burning ambition carried him from a quiet Chicago suburb to the spectacular and hazardous environment of space.

On 14th December 1972, Captain Eugene Cernan left the Moon to return to Earth. He had no idea that, 25 years later, he would still be the last man to have left his footprints on the lunar surface. Dr Chris Lintott travels to the Johnson Space Centre to talk to the Commander of Apollo 17 about his memories of being on the Moon. Sir Patrick Moore looks at lunar samples brought back by the astronauts and talks to NASA scientists about what they discovered.

On the 21st July 1969 Neil Armstrong became the first human being to set foot on another world. Learning to fly just as the super-sonic era dawned, and honing his piloting skills flying Navy combat missions over North Korea, Armstrong was a product of his time. With additional experience as an elite, rocket-powered, X-15 test pilot he had just the right skill set NASA was looking for in 1961, when they recruited their second group of astronauts to shoot for the Moon. Achieving the first Moon landing and taking that first step onto its surface just eight years later, not only transformed human history, but also it changed Armstrong's own life as well.

Man on the Moon III: The Chosen is the seventh studio album by American rapper Kid Cudi. It was released on December 11, 2020 by Republic Records. Announced on December 7, 2020, it is the final installment of Cudi's Man on the Moon trilogy of albums (which includes 2009's Man on the Moon: The End of Day and 2010's Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager). The 18-track album features guest appearances from Pop Smoke, Skepta, Phoebe Bridgers and Trippie Redd.

Musicien éclectique, le pianiste Clément Simon collectionne les projets dans sa région bordelaise natale avant d’intégrer le CMDL de Paris d’où il sort diplômé avec une mention Très Bien. Aussi à l’aise en sideman qu’en leader, en trio traditionnel ou bien dans un quintette faisant la part belle à ses compositions, on a pu l’apercevoir aux côtés de Didier Lockwood, Pierre Perchaud, Nicolas Moreaux mais aussi Marie-Claude Pietragalla ou Raúl Paz. Pétri d’influences allant du classique aux musiques traditionnelles en passant par le rythm’n blues et la musique de film, il mûrit un jazz unique, fait de lyrisme et de modernité.

Together, they play a contemporary jazz that has its source in the song, Broadway and elsewhere, classical music, cinema … the waltz and the bolero meet the incursions in the rhythm'n blues, the tributes to the swing and hard bop.
