Jean-Marie Machado and Dave Liebman play together since 2003. Of this complicity were born two albums: Caminando (on 2008 - Pao Records) and Eternal Moments (on 2010 - Bee Jazz). In 2011, Jean-Marie Machado suggests to Dave Liebman inviting the German bugliste Claus Stötter and the string quartet Psophos; of this meeting was born the Media Luz project. An exceptional musical moment for a dialogue between a magnificent European composer and a great American soloist who draws us a jazzchamber mood.
For Up Where We Belong, Sainte-Marie re-recorded fan favorites like the title track, "Universal Soldier," "Until It's Time for You to Go," "Cripple Creek," and "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee." …
Known as the ‘First Lady of the organ’, Marie-Claire Alain was a strikingly mature, creative and intuitive artist. Spanning four centuries of music, from Baroque masterpieces by the likes of Couperin and Grigny, through cornerstones of the French organ repertoire by Widor, Vierne and Messiaen, to two discs of works by her brother Jehan, this collection is testament to her vast and impressively wide-ranging recording legacy.
The Harmonia Nova series welcomes young artists singled out for their exceptional talents. Whether in classical mélodies, chanson or even operetta, Marie Perbost embodies the multiple ingredients of the musical discourse with incomparable sensuousness and poetry. An actress to the core, she has conceived this programme devoted to ‘a French youth’ along with her chosen partners, skilfully mixing in a few ‘hits’ with rare and precious pieces - many of them very amusing.
