C’est le point de départ de cette histoire où l’on découvre une Marie-Antoinette, certes frivole, mais aussi passionnément éprise du beau Fersen, au point d’oublier la plus élémentaire des prudences... Des salons dorés de Versailles à la fuite à Varenne, le portrait intimiste et sans complaisance d’une figure mythique de l’Histoire de France.

La razón es un misterio. Con su caras grabadas a fuego en su mente, Marie no tiene mas remedio que madurar rapidamente y ganarse la vida. Parece que la lucha no se la da mal, y se emplea como mercenaria en espectaculos de lucha y en lo que caiga, junto a su nuevo compañero y amigo de batalla. Mientras las sombras siguen acechando al mundo cada vez con más frecuencia, por lo que la iglesia, de mano de la orden especializada en su seguimiento, ha de ponerse en alerta para evitar los efectos de sus apariciones.

Marie is a fighter who sells her skills to the highest bidder. With her friend and blood brother, William, she fights the 'Dragons' – strange creatures that hover on the borderline of reality.
Along with her sister Armance, Marie is in search of Georges d'Aiscelin, one of the murderers responsible for the massacre of their family, fifteen years earlier. Having lost his trail and needing money, they accept an apparently simple mission; to escort a monk and a treasure of the French church safely out of the kingdom of Milan…

Ange-Marie a vécu l’horreur des tranchées de 14-18. Bien qu’il en soit ressorti vivant, il est constamment hanté par des souvenirs sonores et visuels, notamment la vue de ses compagnons morts. Depuis, il ne cesse de fuir la vie et refuse de se reconstruire moralement.
