Marked by Blood

For forty years, whether in power or as members of the opposition, the Bhutto family played a pivotal role in Pakistan's violently turbulent politics. As its first democratically-elected leader Zulfikar Bhutto wrote the nation's constitution, but was deposed by coup and executed in 1979. His children endured years of imprisonment and exile until daughter Benazir returned to Pakistan, and at just 35 years of age, became the first woman to run a Muslim country. Her assassination, in 2007, as she was campaigning to win power for the third time, made her an icon throughout the world.

The heart of Cryonic Temple is singer Glen Metal whose voice sounds very similar to Steve Grimmet (Grim Reaper) and guitarist Esa "Freewheeler" Ahonen, whose traditional way of playing his instrument is marked by the drive of K.K. Downing (Judas Priest). After their first album - Chapter I, Underground Symphony Records - this talented band returns to kick our a**. In order to have the best possible conditions for their second album - Blood, Guts & Glory - the band signed a contract with Limb Music Products. As they had for their debut album, they again worked with Pelle Saether as producer and the result speaks for itself : explosive !!!

Rebecca Rusch is among the greatest female ultra-endurance mountain bikers in the world. Although she’s used to pushing her body to its limit, nothing could prepare her for the emotional journey she took in 2015 when she pedaled 1,200 miles of the Ho Chi Minh trail in search of the crash site that claimed the life of her father during the Vietnam War. Joined by Vietnamese competitive biking champion Huyen Nguyen, Rusch travels through the dense jungles of Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. While Nguyen helps Rusch understand the cultural context of her quest, the women forge a deep bond triggered by a shared experience of war and loss. They also glean the tragic history of the ‘Blood Road,’ which leads them through the heart of darkness and into the light of local villages and Buddhist monasteries still marked by the painful relics of war, and populated by generous townspeople who share their stories. Throughout her journey, Rusch continues to synthesize how her family’s story flows into the river of history that continues to define the lives of generations of Southeast Asian people.
