Legend of the piano Martha Argerich is releasing her first ever album partnering the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of its new musical director, Lahav Shani.

Giorgi Gigashvili is only twenty-two, but he is already hitting the headlines: now a pupil of Nelson Goerner, he is a protégé of Martha Argerich, who gave him the urge to play the piano alongside his first love, pop singing - at the age of thirteen, he won the television talent show ‘The Voice’ in his homeland, Georgia.

This 2-CD single-layer SACD compilation album contains 22 tracks selected from the titles that have been produced as single-layer SACDs from Deutsche Grammophon's analog period recordings as a Japanese original project. DISC1 contains symphonies and orchestral pieces. DISC2 contains concertos, chamber music, instrumental music, and vocal music from a wide range of classical music genres. After a diploma in piano at "Niccola Piccinni" Conservatory of Music in Bari under the guidance of Gregorio Goffredo and a master at "Nino Rota" Conservatory of Music in Monopoli under the guidance of Benedetto Lupo, he attended the masterclasses of Marisa Somma, Cristian Zaccarias, Joaquin Achucarro, Francois J. Thiollier, Konstantin Bogino et Aldo Ciccolini.

A versatile musician and music producer. Alessandro's preference for board instruments was clear when as a child he began to play as a self-taught pianist. He also started composing at a very early age. At 14 y.o. he wrote a cycle of Mazurkas inspired by Chopin.
