Dystophilia: A fascination with the rate of societal decline. An unravelling of order as it careens into a dystopian AI future where melodies pile helter-skelter over phrases, genres melt seamlessly into one another, metal textures crash into chamber-like enclaves, forms teeter on the edge of collapse, violent rhythms transform into ghostly voices, and spiralling polyphonies end in jazz riffs or pop songs.

Their music crosses over rock blues and soul in such a way that they alone can perform, write and produce. "Songs to move your body mind and soul." The band had its first big break with their moving interpretation of Going to California on the platinum selling Led Zeppelin tribute album "Encomium" swiftly followed by the release of their 1995 self-titled album "Never the Bride" on the Atlantic label in the USA. Since then they have sold records all around the world. They are continually being "discovered" by music fans with the help of the Internet and their web site as well as conventional means. Their live following has gone from strength to strength following performances around the world from supporting The Who at Wembley arena to ZZ Top in Sydney Australia, a spot on the Plant and Page gig at The Forum in Los Angeles as well as shows in their own right in the UK, Europe and the USA.

We recorded this album as the title tells, in Vancouver 1997. The main man at Universal Records, Doug Morris, had personally signed us to the label. Why it has taken twelve years to get this music out, we don’t know… “it’s just the way it goes.” Never The Bride never give up. We have rescued our music from the vaults of The Armoury where our album was recorded with the late and legendary producer Bruce Fairbairn, who produced colossal platinum selling albums for Aerosmith, Metallica, Bon Jovi, INXS, Kiss and Van Halen. Sadly he died soon after our album was recorded. A great guy who really loved his music and Never The Bride. The musicians joining Nikki and Been on this album were Doug Boyle on guitars, Trevor Barry on Bass, Frosty Beadle on Drums and additional programming and keyboards from Canadian, John Webster. Our songs have now been mastered all these years later and brought to you by our own indie label, Lock Stock and Barrel Records.
