Nell'epoca desiderosa di oblio che fu il secondo dopoguerra italiano, la storia di Telesio Interlandi, l'intellettuale che più spudoratamente approvò le leggi razziali in Italia, fu dimenticata con un certo sollievo. Eppure la sua figura rimane centrale per capire il contesto culturale di quegli anni. Se infatti, grazie al rapporto personale con Mussolini, da direttore dal 1938 al 1943 della «Difesa della razza» Interlandi fu portavoce del fascismo più intransigente e fanatico, allo stesso tempo sulle colonne del «Tevere» e «Quadrivio» diede spazio alle migliori firme dell'epoca, da Vincenzo Cardarelli a Mario Soldati, da Luigi Pirandello a Corrado Alvaro, mostrando un fiuto giornalistico e una raffinatezza editoriale eccezionali. Blanche Selva ne s’est que tardivement laissée convaincre de graver quelques 78 tours, réalisés à Paris et Madrid par la firme Columbia en 1929 et 1930. L’accident cérébral qui la frappe quelques mois plus tard met définitivement un terme à cette trop brève carrière phonographique. Ces presque deux heures de musique révèlent une artiste dans sa pleine maturité, peut-être à son meilleur. –Gilles Saint-Arroman
