This Millie Jackson album, "A Moment's Pleasure" became another success effort, peaking at #47 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums #144 on The Billboard 200 chart. Includes the hits "Never Change Lovers In The Middle of the Night", "Kiss You All Over" and the title track.

Before hitting her stride with 1974's "Caught Up", Millie Jackson delivered this tasty disc of uptown Southern soul. Both Stax raw and Philly International slick, It Hurts So Good percolates with smoky horns, snaking guitar lines, electric piano, strings, and bluesy funk grooves. In addition to her usually provocative take on relationships (both in the home and at the dark end of the street), Jackson - via Curtis Mayfield - delivers the affecting ghetto laments "I Cry," "Hypocrisy," and "Two-Faced World." And while some of the charts are a bit lacking, Jackson is solid throughout, especially on slow-burners like "Good to the Very Last Drop." A fine early offering from the diva of salacious sass.

One of Millie's best, Jackson gives fans tough raps, raunchiness, and scathing dialogue that threads the songs together. Millie's love for country ballads shows on "I Wish That I Could Hurt That Way Again." The appeal heightens on deep soul ballads, and For Men Only is loaded: check out her rendition of Latimore's gritty "Ain't No Coming Back," the earthy "That Don't Turn Me On," "Despair," "This Is Where I Came In," and "A Fool's Affair."

One of the most raunchy and hard-hitting of 70s (and '80s and '90s) soul stars, Millie cut "Hard Times" in 1982 and it was released in America that year as Spring SP-1-6737. "Hard Times" spawned a US R&B hit in Special Occasion (11 weeks on the chart, peaking at #50).

"E.S.P. (Extra Sexual Persuasion)" is a Millie Jackson album released in 1983. In addition to her signature soul music songs, it also includes somewhat more Hi-NRG and Funk dance song production popular at the time such as "This Girl Could Be Dangerous", "Sexercise" and the title track.

Millie Pulled A Pistol On Santa was the third single by De La Soul in support of their second album, De La Soul Is Dead. It was a "double A-side" which featured "Keepin' The Faith" as well, the song of which was turned into a video through its remix. This CD5 features two mixes of the title track (including an instrumental) and six mixes of "Keepin' The Faith".
