Mobile phone related films have been pretty popular of late in both Hollywood and Asia, with the likes of “Connected” and “Cellular” manipulating the modern over-reliance on technology for tense thrills. Thankfully, Korean director Kim Han Min, previously responsible for the offbeat mystery “Paradise Murdered” takes a different, somewhat more interesting route, exploring how the simple loss of a phone can lead to a series of wildly escalating events that push two very different men over the edge. The result is a thriller which is not only fast moving and gripping, but which has a fascinatingly amoral edge, with no clear cut heroes and villains.

A trio of truly awful, softcore, psuedo-bondage/action films starring the overly blonde Cheri Caffaro (who once won a Bardot look-alike contest). For those of you who thought to yourselves, "Hey, there just aren't enough tits or handcuffs in those Bond films", then these are the movies for you.

An epic five-part masterwork, The Cremaster Cycle is a celebrated evocation of the creative process by noted sculptor and performance artist Matthew Barney. The series is not now, nor will it ever be, available on mass-market DVD. The only place it can be seen is on screen in theaters. It was last shown in Columbus in 2003, when it screened it in five sold-out shows at the Wexner Center.

This film being the debut of Søren Kragh-Jacobsen all centered around a class of pupils on a tour to Sweden. The theme was close to hand, for after his education on the Prague film school he spent a number of years in the children and youth department of the national Danish broadcasting system. He also issued a record with songs capturing the mood among young people of the day. In retrospect, it is evident that the director accomplished his best achievements when focusing on children and youngsters mirroring society. The film came to be the definition of authentic looking youth films and had of course the universal theme of boys and girls with growing sexual awareness meeting for the first time. The execution of the film made with enlightening vigor and humor meant the debut for young actor Birger Larsen, who twelve years later chose to continue his career as a director with another children's film, 'Lad isbjørnene danse'.

Sensitive 12-year-old Alf (Nikolaj Stovring Hansen) is the low man on his class' totem pole, and he's sick of it. Forming a secret, Machiavellian alliance with another student who also has grown weary of being bullied, he hatches a plan to throw a wrench into the well-oiled gears of the school social order. Everything seems to go according to plan, until Alf discovers that turning the tables on his tormentors has its own dire consequences.
