Moby Dick were an Italian progressive rock band who recorded their debut album in 1973. The only problem was that it was unreleased until 2001, when the Akarma label rescued it from the vaults.

The Best Of Moby Dick Records: Jump Shout is a 1995 compilation CD highlighting the music of the Moby Dick label. Subtitled A Collection Of Pioneering West Coast Hi-NRG, it features quality soul with hints of disco and synth pop. Moby Dick released this via Hot Records.

Moby Dick (noto anche come "La Balena" - The Whale) dello scrittore americano Herman Melville è oggi considerato uno dei più importanti libri della letteratura mondiale. La storia racconta le avventure di un marinaio, Ismaele, e del suo viaggio intorno al mondo sulla baleniera Pequod comandata dal capitano Achab a caccia di capodogli e balene, e in particolare della gigantesca Balena Bianca (in realtà un capodoglio) che dà il titolo al romanzo.
