Monsterhunter Nemesis

Defecto was formed in 2011 in suburban Copenhagen when singer, guitarist and frontman Nicklas Sonne was approached by the legendary producer Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica, Blind Guardian) after hearing Sonne's music. Fueled by a desire to help Sonne record and release his material, they contacted childhood friend and lead guitarist, Frederik Møller, as well as bass-player Thomas Bartholin and drummer Lars Jensen in order to create a band that could match Sonne's unique potential.

"Nemesis" marks the return of one of the most ambitious French bands of the moment, composed of Zara Desbonnes and Frédéric Grange. After the international success of a first album and the hit "Ghost Gunfi ghter", the duo delivers a pop album with surprising musical mixes. His sleek and neat production level counts Jay Reynolds (Dua Lippa), Stan Neff (Christine the Queens) and Thibault Chaumont (Jabberwocky). The group's evolution towards more synthetic pop sounds, between beats and keyboards, tinged with electro and soul, is always sublimated by the powerful and warm voice of Zara, as evidenced by the new single "All I Need".

The score for any Star Trek film relies heavily upon the introduction of the classic eight-note motif that has shadowed the pop culture phenomenon since its arrival on the big screen in 1979. For Star Trek: Nemesis, the series' tenth installment, Jerry Goldsmith delivers the theme with all of the pomp one could hope for on the rousing "Remus." What follows is a fairly typical yet immensely enjoyable sci-fi soundtrack, filled with pounding dissonance, wonder, and the occasional moment of tender camaraderie – the quietly powerful "Ideals" – that one would expect from this legendary saga and composer.
