EL VY (pronounced like a plural of Elvis; rhymes with ‘hell pie’) is the musical collaboration between Matt Berninger, vocalist and lyricist of The National, and Brent Knopf, the Portland musician and producer best known for his work in Menomena and his more recent band, Ramona Falls. Their debut album "Return To The Moon" is a project Berninger and Knopf have been thinking about for years.

Ray Cardwell re-located from Missouri to Nashville in August to return to a career in bluegrass music after teaching music for many years. Recorded with New Grass Revival alum Pat Flynn in the producer's chair, Tennessee Moon features original music that honors traditional bluegrass, but adds a completely unique and contemporary twist. One of the most interesting things about Ray is his range, Flynn says. He has a very diverse musical background.

Paper Moon is a 1973 American road comedy-drama film directed by Peter Bogdanovich and released by Paramount Pictures. Screenwriter Alvin Sargent adapted the script from the 1971 novel Addie Pray by Joe David Brown. The film, shot in black-and-white, is set in Kansas and Missouri during the Great Depression.
