Pascal Nègre a annoncé le 27 août 20181 la sortie de l'album pour le 28 septembre 2018. Cet album marque le retour de Mylène Farmer à la chanson suite à son dernier album Interstellaires sorti en 2015 chez Universal et Interscope et son rôle dans le film Ghostland de Pascal Laugier (qui lui avait réalisé le clip de City of Love).
