Nadia McAnuff, daughter of reggae artist Winston McAnuff, teams up with French band The Ligerians to deliver a rich blend of roots reggae with soulful and jazz elements. The album includes tracks such as “Love Divine,” “So Jah Seh,” “Freedom Of Peace,” “Holy,” and “Waiting Room.” Each track showcases McAnuff’s lyrical depth and vocal versatility, supported by the Ligerians’ dynamic and melodic instrumentation. The album’s themes revolve around personal transformation, social justice, and spiritual introspection.

Nadia Shpachenko’s latest Reference Recordings release The Poetry of Places features World Premiere recordings of works for solo piano, for two pianos, percussion, electronics, voice, and toy piano in a fascinating mélange inspired by great architecture and places. The eight compositions monumentalize places as wildly diverse as the Copland House in Cortlandt, NY, The American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, Louis Kahn’s National Assembly Buildings in Bangladesh, Newgrange Ancient Temple in Ireland, and Frank Gehry’s House in Santa Monica, CA. Included is a significant new work from Andrew Norman, Frank’s House, for two pianos and percussion, and another large work from Nina C.

Ce second opus est dédié à quatre pièces phares de l’œuvre pour flûte de Johann Sebastian Bach, qu’elle interprète avec brio en compagnie de Luc Beauséjour au piano et de Camille Paquette-Roy au violoncelle.Les deux premières sonates de l’album Flûte Passion : Bach, la Sonate en mi mineur, BWV 1034 et la Sonate en trio en sol majeur, BWV 1039 avec leurs quatre mouvements s’alternant selon l’enchaînement lent-vif-lent-vif, correspondent au modèle de la sonata da chiesa (destinée à l’église).
