Greece's Quincy Jointz selects the sixth volume of his concept Lime Sorbet compilation. Lime Sorbet was always the compilation series for open minded music fans and so is also volume six. From sunshine vibes, funky grooves and breakbeat through to house or downbeat. Once again Quincy selects a special mixture of unreleased music by well-known and upcoming artists. Block rockin' beats courtesy of Valique with "Long Journey" (Quincy Jointz remix) will sort you for deep funk, cheeky crooner Louie Austen is back since the electroclash days with the sleazy soul of of "Make You Move" (Quincy Jointz remix) and Stuttgart's Tobe Tronic serves up the deep, breaks driven nu-disco of "Night Drums".

Yes, it's been two and half years since our last and the second volume of our Kraak Downtempo concept series released back in 2016. Now we are back again with the brand new third edition, that includes eleven hot downtempo gems from our catalog. Kraak Downtempo Vol.3 as on the previous two volumes is compiled by Timewarp, yes also known as the man behind everything on the label, guarantee is the rock solid quality and style behind this wonderful deep downtempo compilation. The release covers most of our recent releases to date, and it was selected carefully to bring a common deep mood, with a variety of genres and music styles.

b. c.1957, May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica, West Indies. Washington has been involved in the Jamaican music industry since the early 70s. He was taught to play drums in a band named Stepping Stone by Joseph Hill of Culture. Hill sang lead vocals with the band until a disagreement with the hotel management where the band was playing resulted in Washington filling the role. Washington’s connection with Hill resulted in a recording session at Joe Gibbs studio and the release of his vocal debut, ‘Rockers No Crackers’.

Born in 1971 and raised in Bowling Green, Ohio, Sugar Brown was born as Ken Chester Kawashima to a Japanese father and Korean mother who both immigrated to the United States in the mid-1960s. Now a permanent resident of Toronto, Canada, Sugar Brown is a modern blues musician, singer and songwriter. His brand of dark, sweet, and inconsolable blues has caught the attention of the Canadian music scene, winning the 2013 Toronto Blues Society Talent Search and quickly receiving invitations to play at the Kitchener Blues Festival and the prestigious Mariposa Folk Festival in 2014.

Stan Getz and Astrud Gilberto had a worldwide smash hit in 1964 with The Girl From Ipanema so it made sense to take the show on the road while the song, and bossa nova, were both still hot. Getz and Gilberto embarked on a six-month US tour and recorded two New York shows for this album. One show was at Carnegie Hall, but the show that inspired the album's title was at Greenwich Village's Café Au Go Go. Getz recorded this material with his new quartet, featuring a young Gary Burton on vibraphone, who also contributed two orginal songs. Gilberto earned a multi-album recording contract with Verve as a result of her touring with Getz.

„Soul Steps“ is the second album by Berlin and San Diego based band The Everettes, who have been an insider tip in the soul landscape for a few years now. On the one hand, the title alludes to the musical footprints they follow, as their danceable music is rooted in Northern Soul, Stax and Motown and with their three female singers they carry the magic of the 60s girl groups into the present. On the other hand, the songs are also about personal development steps and the paths and decisions one has to take in life with oneself and others.
