His own films, Freakside and Freakshow, which Jamie edits, produces, directs and stars in, are now staples in the surf world. The beautiful O is taken by her boyfriend, Rene, to a bizarre retreat, where she is trained in bondage and sexual perversion. Rene discharges a personal debt by transferring possession of O to his step-brother, Sir Stephen.

Neste período vários estudantes abraçam a luta armada, entrando na clandestinidade, e em 1969 militantes do MR-8 elaboram um plano para seqüestrar o embaixador dos Estados Unidos (Alan Arkin) para trocá-lo por prisioneiros políticos, que eram torturados nos porões da ditadura.
