Après avoir sorti il y a quelques semaines l’album « Chante l’Amour (Et la haine) » dans lequel se trouvent 11 titres qu’il a présentés sur scène en 2015 aux Trois Baudets (suite à la demande Alice Vivier de créer un spectacle de reprises d’artistes époque « Canetti », il avait sélectionné et réorchestré avec son groupe une douzaine de chansons (de Gainsbourg, Barbara, Brigitte Fontaine, Ferré…)), et en attendant la sortie de son nouvel album « L’odyssée » à la rentrée, Bensé vient de sortir l’EP numérique « Après le printemps » avec 6 titres inédits de son dernier album.

Swantje Asche-Tauscher belongs to that generation of young German violinists who win people over with their “expressive, sonorous playing”. At the age of 14, this talented artist appeared as a soloist in the Stuttgart Liederhalle. She had played at the Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg, performs at festivals such as the Palermo Classica Festival, and is a lecturer at Strings in Motion. For the 2019/2020 season, Swantje Asche-Tauscher held the position of principal second violinist in the Tyrol Symphony Orchestra in Innsbruck.

Liszt’s sonata is regarded by many as his ultimate masterpiece and it ranks alongside other “greats” in the pantheon of piano repertoire. This was not always the case, however, and in the 19th century it was met with extreme reactions, from admiration to suspicion and envy. The critic Eduard Hanslick declared “Anyone who has heard this and finds it beautiful is beyond help”, while Wagner heaped praised upon it (perhaps unsurprisingly). Alfred Brendel has called it “the most original, powerful and intelligent sonata composed after Beethoven and Schubert”.
