I couldn’t finish it because I became too emotional, so changed the lyrics around a little to take it elsewhere but the essence of song remains – if I could do it all again I wouldn’t change a thing other than to have my mother in my life forever.”

The Small Faces were an English rock and roll band from East London, heavily influenced by American rhythm and blues. The band is remembered as one of the most acclaimed and influential mod groups of the 1960s. Small Faces are also acknowledged as being one of the biggest original influences on the Britpop movement of the 1990s. Despite the fact the band were together just four years in their original incarnation, the Small Faces' music output from the mid to late sixties remains among the most acclaimed British mod and psychedelic music of that era. An ensuing summer and fall tour with the Attractions proved to be the death knell for the band. With relations between Costello and bassist Bruce Thomas at breaking point, Costello announced that the current tour would be the Attractions' last. One of the finest shows on the tour was performed at New York s Supper Club on 22nd May 96, where a quite stunning set was performed including many tracks from the new record and a host of classics and obscurities from previous albums, mixed up with a healthy selection of covers. Recorded for live FM Radio Broadcast this extraordinary concert is now available on this double CD in its entirety, for the first time.

Freak of Nature was an American Hard Rock band, formed in 1992 by former White Lion lead singer Mike Tramp. The band was formed after White Lion broke up and the follow up was significantly darker and harder than White Lion. The band released three albums and then disbanded in 1996. Following Freak of Nature, Mike Tramp released several solo albums and also reformed White Lion with a new line up.
