Pianist Satoko Fujii introduces a new trio with two younger and very active musicians on the Japanese jazz scene–bassist Takashi Sugawa and drummer Ittetsu Takemura–recording in 2020 at Pit Inn in Tokyo for their 3rd live date together, performing five lyrical Fujii original compositions, including "Aspirations" from her album with Leo Smith & Ikue Mori.

Deluxe two disc (CD + PAL/Region 2 DVD) edition of this reissue of the 1989 benefit CD EP now expanded and including a bonus documentary DVD. The Rock Aid Armenia version of Smoke on the Water was recorded in 1989 at the historic Metropolis Studios, London. The recordings were completed over five different sessions, produced by Gary Langan and Geoff Downes. Features musical appearances from Bryan Adams, Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Keith Emerson, Bruce Dickinson, Brian May, Roger Taylor, David Gilmore, Tony Iommi, Paul Rodgers, Chris Squire, Alex Lifeson, Geoff Beaucchamp and others.

As two of the most distinctive artists from the '60s and '70s given their work in CSNY, Crosby & Nash also did great work as a duo act. Wind on the Water was released in 1975 after the previous year's CSNY reunion tour and the dissolution of their contract at Atlantic. In many respects, this alliance made perfect sense. When it was just the two of them, they were often more likable. Crosby wasn't as much of a blowhard and Nash became more pragmatic. Wind on the Water's virtues are apparent with the first song, the warm and pensive single "Carry Me." "Homeward Through the Haze," "Low Down Payment," and "Naked in the Rain" are gems that all but sum up their complicated harmonic and melodic style. Besides Crosby & Nash being on their game, the studio players here are impeccable. Lovers of '70s pop/rock will love to hear players like Danny Kortchmar and David Lindley effortlessly doing their identifiable riffs…

Compiling the third and fourth solo albums by sideman-to-the-stars David Bromberg, Wanted Dead or Alive/Midnight on the Water includes Bromberg's virtuoso musicianship, eccentric songwriting, and endearingly off-key vocals, along with plenty of guest spots: Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, and on the first, most of the Grateful Dead.
