Progressive rock fans discovered RAISON DE PLUS, thanks to the 1987 "Enchantement" compilation. Since this period, the French band from Nancy has worked on its first album project, as the "Le Roi Du Temps" maxi-vinyl tends to prove it. And eight years will be necessary to realize "Au Bout Du Couloir", involving a lot of care. With the same team, Jean-Louis HENRIET's group produces in 2001 the sublime "Ici Est Ailleurs". This opus sounds much more professional, while the musicians has reached another maturity step. With its Progressive rock sung in French, RAISON DE PLUS is close to ANGE, MONA LISA or ELIXIR. Or to heirs like VERSAILLES and MAGNESIS. A music influenced by the Seventies, as well for compositions and lyrics as for sounds (Analog keyboards, flute, etc…).

"Ici et ailleurs" is a touching tribute to the memory of relatives of Carbou lost to the hands of Alzheimer's, an insidious evil in its degenerative nature. In the ambiguous vagueness of physical presence and mental wandering, the bereaved musician explores the sweet memories of the last moments of lucidity of loved ones who have disappeared today, so as to immortalise them in a comforting music breathing serene nostalgia.

Pioneering artist in the field of abstract-electronic-retropop instrumentation. Teddy LASRY Also known as a composer of contemporary classical music and scores for modern theatre and cine-art. He is also known for his compositions for Christian VANDER's MAGMA. After a first jazzy-groovy pop album in collaboration with other artists (Claude Engel…) he released his first LP in solo entitled "Tutti Fluti" (1975) which reveals a mix between soulful jazz elements and electronic spacey vibes. Published in 1976 "E = MC²" can be considered as a masterpiece in the world of cosmic synthedelica. "La femme qui venait d'ailleurs" (1977) also contains absolutely classic cosmic themes for long synthesized strings and astral-like electro moves, somtimes sustained by strangey exotic jazzy sounds.

Brégent was formed around two brothers, vocalist Jacques and keyboardist Michel-Georges Brégent, with a backing band of guitar, bass, drums/percussion and two saxophone players.
After the formation and dissipation of Dionne Brégent, the Brégent brothers got back together for “Partir pour Ailleurs” (1979). Vincent Dionne is enlisted here on percussion. With the exception of one track from 1977, all music was written between 1970 and 1972. Once more, many of the lyrics are from poets such as Léo Ferré, but a good number are written by Félix Leclerc, a popular singer in Quebec during the 70s. The album was not recorded until 1978; the reason for it being seven years in the making remains a mystery. The music is more rock-oriented, even funky at times…

Les Marquises is Jean-Sébastien Nouveau’s grand ensemble project, featuring artists like Matt Elliott of The Third Eye Foundation and Agathe Max among many others. A Night Full Of Collapses makes great use of this line-up, sprinkling rich and varied instrumentation throughout its noirish chamber pop. Released by Ici d’ailleurs.
