Os Mundi from Berlin became known because of their two LPs on Metronome and Brain. In 1975, when they had almost reached the period of breaking up, their guitarist Udo Arndt was doing a practical training in the studio of a broadcasting station and invited his friends there to make some free-of-charge recordings in order to practice. The recording sessions took place with changing line-ups, together with guest musicians, e. g. from Agitation Free. Some rather softened jazz-rock without vocals was played, which sounds very clean and has now been released for the first time. Additionally there are three other studio recordings on the CD and two RIAS tracks. This 2008 release of 'Sturmflut' (in English, that means Storm Tide) is a collection of the band's unreleased work, recorded between 1973-1975.

Second album from this overlooked band. Os Mundi was considered the first rock band from Berlin with lots of members moving in and out of the band. 43 Minuten marked a departure from their debut "A Latin Mass", finding the band with a stronger jazz rock element in their sound but still retaining the underground feel and sound courtesy of producer Conny Planck. Vocals move in and out of the mix but stay clear long enough for the jammed out guitar and flute breaks. The band gets into a groove and then blasts off. Perhaps a bit reminiscent of Out Of Focus. Killer krautrock!

Essential: a masterpiece of Progressive rock music
Not typical Krautrock but they definitely have something flavoured like desert or dry fruits, as we can hear via Krautrock.

This is an extraordinary compilation of the progressive and psychedelic music sub-genre known as "Krautrock". On six CDs, consisting of nearly 480 minutes of music, you will find an overview of some of the most creative styles of music from the "Deutschrock"-phase. This is the second time that such a huge spectrum of bands and artists of so many varying styles within this genre is found on one compilation. Accordingly, it is an absolute highlight for veteran fans as well as newcomers. Scorpions, Eloy, Guru Guru, Embryo, Kraan, Amon Düül II, Popul Vuh, Grobschnitt, Os Mundi and many more.

Chronos Mundi was an apparently little-known Brazilian trio that released just the one album, Luz e Trevas, in 1999. This band admits influences of Pink Floyd, Yes, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, King Crimson, Premiata Forneria Marconi, Jade Warrior and Genesis. They perform a refined, colourful and lyrical Progressive sung in Portuguese and English but there aren't many vocals. Their music has a largely pastoral feel and is highly melodic, much in the tradition of the many fine symphonic bands from Brazil.

Assembling sole compositions constructed by different inspirations, Rodrigo Leão constructed his own way of creating music, somewhere in between progressive and experimental electronic soundings. One of the most important composers and performers of the late '90s in Portugal, Rodrigo Leão started his career by working with some of the most prominent Portuguese groups of that time. Leão first started playing with Sétima Legião, an ensemble that produced new visions for Portuguese modern pop music in the beginning of the '80s. Three years later, he became part of one of the most significant musical projects born in Portuguese territory, Madredeus, again playing the keyboards.
