With the innovative young Hammond B-3 organist Sam Yahel and the versatile, reliably swinging drummer Paul Wertico, the guitar great breathes new life into six familiar jazz pieces, such as "Impressions", "Come Rain or Come Shine" and "Embraceable You" while also showcasing his inimitable fleet-fingered facility on three original compositions.

This is the second release by the Union trio of Laurence Hobgood, Brian Torff and Paul Wertico. Again it demonstrates how a traditional line-up of piano, bass and drums can explore harmonic boundaries yet remain accessible and engaging. This album includes an equal mix of originals and standards - even Where is Love from the 60's musical Oliver makes a surprise appearance - and all the tracks demonstrate the trio's intimate understanding of each other's playing.

Inspired by themes taken from the Judeo-Christian tradition with such titles as Creation, Chaos and Resurrection, the Chicago guitarist presents his interpretations in a suite of original sacred music. Along with his guests including Lawrence Hobgood, Paul Wertico and Paul McCandless, Moulder creates a work that is as adventurous and expansive as it is meditative and intimate.

Quartet (1996) is an album by the Pat Metheny Group. The album features Pat Metheny on guitar, Lyle Mays on keyboards, Steve Rodby on bass, and Paul Wertico on drums. Most of the tracks were loosely written or improvised, using several unusual instruments. The Group itself never played these songs live, though Metheny played "When We Were Free" with his trio and recorded a live version on the album Day Trip. "As I Am" was played during trio concerts with Michael Brecker. Metheny remarked in a podcast retrospective that the improvisational late-middle portions of, Quartet contain some of the darkest music the Group has ever recorded. He also stated that "When We Were Free" is a personal standout for him, especially Mays's piano solo.

The Laurence Hobgood Trio have perfected their craft through playing with US jazz vocalist Kurt Elling, who appears on two tracks on "Crazy World", the trio's debut album. The ten tracks on the album are a mixture of Laurence's original compositions and his own arrangements, with one track contribured by Rob Amster. Six times Grammy nominee Kurt Elling makes a guest appearance to provide delicate vocal inspiration on two tracks recorded exclusively for this album.
